Homogeneous Control Fields (HCF)

HCF is a type of field-art present in Ingress since the very beginning, but gaining more popularity since 2019.

But what is an HCF?

An nth degree homogeneous field is a field that contains n layers in it, but – that’s the important part – across the whole of its surface. Not more or fewer layers in any given spot. Basically it has the same shade of colour all over it.

Homogeneous control field – theory and practice

To help and guide other agents master the HCF, Czech Resistance agent @Arweth created a series of guides. First of which is now translated to English and available to you in the button below. More English versions and perhaps even more parts of the series will come in the future.

A new world record, the L9 HCF was accomplished in June 2020.
